BUYER BEWARE....this company is "shady" at best.
My house backs up to my HOA property, contractor decided it was the only way to get the pool in my yard, after the massive damage that was done not only to my property, my neighbor’s property, AND the HOA's property(the pool company never asked for HOA’s approval) - they were not willing to come out of pocket to pay for the damage of the HOA(we were prepared for the damages to our property and potentially the neighbors), instead of making one track in and out for the POOL install only, they poured all of their building materials on HOA property as well, leaving a HUGE mess behind. HOA billed me for fixing the mess, and when I went to Donovan(owner and sales guy of aquamarine, aqua pools, they go by so many different names it’s hard to keep up) he told me it was my responsibility and that I am lucky I wasn’t billed for the extra sand he laid to "try to regrade" the area(HOA specifically told us NOT to fix it, that their contractors would do the work, this was also relayed to the pool project manager). Seems like this company does whatever it takes and screws up anything in its path, to get a pool in your yard and to make the sale, so while the pool may cost 30K, you better tack on another 10-15K in the damages they leave in their wake!

John runs a phenomenal business in numerous ways. Up front, John was fair in his pricing, honest about what he could do for us, and made every effort to get us the pool we wanted that was close to our budget. Our situation presented a number of difficulties including access to our backyard and HOA approval. John was supportive, helped us problem solve, and in the end, made every effort to ensure we were satisfied with the installation.

I've spent 8 years in the real estate construction business and I can also say that Mike - his project manager / installer - is one of the best contractors I've encountered. He was quick (6 days from start to finish), he alerted me to any issues along the way and offered solutions that didn't compromise the design ideas for my backyard. He was personable, respectful, and went above and beyond to walk me through how to use all of the equipment and said he was only a phone call away should I accidentally mess something up in the future.

If you're looking to install a fiberglass pool in Texas - John and his crew will be the best you'll find from start to finish.

I don't know if its really their fault but I guess we really didn't know how much of a mess it was gonna make of our yard and that we would have to do so much work. They dig up stuff and our landscaping was ruined. They did say that they were responsible for that and stuff like that but it kinda ended up being a mess. Maybe all pool of companies do that, maybe it just the way it is. The work itself, the pool, is nice. They got it done on time, that part was fine. It's just that I don't know if I would have bothered if I knew how much work it was gonna end up being for us. I would have like to be informed more that this was going to happen. They did it an okay job, we ended having to do a lot of cleaning of the pool and there still some cement residue on the pool. I hope they could clean up better. They were prompt at what they did and when they're gonna be here they're always here working. It's not like a delayed 2-3 days here, they got it in within a week. I was happy with that like I said they didn't have any delay. They said it was going to be in a certain amount of time and it was, so that was real good.

They were late because it was raining season but otherwise they were pretty good. They did a pretty good job, there was stuff that I dont really agreed with or the information was not a 100%. I mean the owner has a little bit of attitude but the work through itself were good. Clean up was pretty good, the only thing was we had some spider cracks in the pool. Its like from one spot the cracks going to a different side like a spider web and I mentioned this and the owner of the company said that it's a man made stuff that happens. I mean nobody really showed up and looked at it.

Went into the showroom and was completely blown away! Great customer service; they answered all of my questions and concerns. It is so evident that they know exactly what they're doing and how to do it. Only have good things to say about this company!

I have wanted a pool ever since I purchased my home. I already knew it would be a fiberglass pool, as my Dad had one for years and no issues. I went on line and after doing research with other pool companies, I decided to go with Aquamarine Pools of Texas. This is because of all the positive reviews, credentials and their website is on point providing an extensive variety of pools, options and details. From there I called John and he took care of everything. All I really did was show him a picture, explain what I wanted and all else was handled by John and his team. The only thing that delayed the install was the unexpected bad weather Central Texas received, of course no fault of the install team. Despite the weather turning bad, the Aquamarine Pool install team kept pushing forward and the outcome is amazing, the install team is amazing. I have no regrets with my purchase and choosing Aquamarine Pools of Texas. I am very proud of my pool and it is a beautiful upgrade to my home not to mention, I HAVE MY OWN POOL to ENJOY. I am very pleased with Aquamarine Pools of Texas and made the right choice by choosing Aquamarine Pools of Texas. Thank you!

We couldn't be more pleased with our new Aquamarine Pool. The staff were courteous and always available to answer any questions that we had. Their installation crew was stellar. They arrived at the time promised each day and left our property clean. We would recommend Aquamarine Pools with enthusiasm. We love our new pool!

John and his company Aquamarine Pools did an amazing job. They completed all of the work in a week and a half. We had a ton of limestone to bust through and they did it with ease. Very efficient crew. I would totally recommend this company! Now bring on summer so we can jump in this beautiful new pool!!

All we can say is WOW. The entire process working with Aquamarine Pools of Texas from the initial sales meeting to completing the job this morning has been flawless. John and Steve (sales) were honest, straight forward and knowledgeable. When it was time for the actual construction, Mike and his Crew (Alex and Carlos) were on the ball to ensure that everything was done right the first time and did so in 9 DAYS! If you are lucky enough to be in the DFW area, then you will be in great hands with Mike and Team! There are many gunite pools being built in our neighborhood currently and I laugh to myself at how long that process takes and how easy fiberglass was and will be for years to come! John and Aquamarine pools were fantastic. I was updated daily with the progress by John or one of his crew members. Everyone was very informative and the product looked as promised. Many company's promise you the moon and can not deliver, however Aquamarine promises the moon and delivers that! John was very upfront and taught us about the operations of the pool and went beyond my expectations. The timing of all deliveries (ie. the pool, gravel, rock, etc) was coordinated perfectly and everything went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend anyone to use this company.

When I started looking for pools, I had two company's give me an estimate. After hearing what each had to offer, we decided to go with John Aquamarine pools.
We ordered our pool in May of 2013 and his crew started working on it the first week of August. I want to say we have never seen anything like this before. Mike (supervisor) and his
crew showed up at 7:00 am every morning ready to work. By the time I left for work at 8:00 am the first morning a semitruck with a small bulldozer and backhoe pulled up. As I was leaving my subdivision, dump trucks were pulling in. We were so amazed on how Mike had everything timed so perfectly. Mike and his crew needs to be commended on their professionalism and dedication.
John was always available to answer any questions we had .

We contacted John of Aquamarine Pools in September of 2012 for an estimate of a Viking pool. We received a straightforward, no-nonsense estimate outlining everything they would be doing and the time frame. Our pool was installed in 5 days by a crew with nothing subcontracted out. Everyone was professional, courteous and hard working. We have had our Viking now for almost a year and have had no problems with its care or any defects. We love it and would recommend Aquamarine Pools to anyone!

We ordered our Viking "Bermuda'' pool on June 1st 2013 and they began installation the last week of July. From start to finish John Mehrman was constantly in touch with me via phone, email and text. Excellent communication! The install crew, headed by Mike was a fantastic, great group of hard working guys that exceeded my expectations. The pool turned out fantastic! We would definitely use this company again in the future.

I recently had the Aruba pool installed in my yard after many months of waiting on city building permit issues. The finished installation looks incredible and I can’t wait for the water to warm up enough to enjoy the new addition to my back yard.
The crew from Aquamarine Pools was easy to work with. They worked with me upon discovering boulders by placing them in locations where they look like they were part of the origin landscaping. I would caution anyone interesting in installing a new pool to read the contract so you are aware of potential issues that may arise during the construction process. In my case, the entire installation required 8 days instead of 5, I ended up having to disconnect my A/C unit to allow room for the bobcat and excavator access between my neighbor and my house, and a new power panel had to be installed as the old 30 old unit wouldn’t have even passed inspection. They gave me a very fair price on the new main panel and much less than if I would have worked with a local electrician. Plan for these contingencies and you’ll have a much less stressful installation. John maintained his professional demeanor while I worked through these surprises. I even discovered a cracked housing on the filter base and they quickly replaced the defective part.
