I had future finish do my house in the summer of 2010. Jimmy came out in his beat up subaru wagon stating his "company truck" was in the shop. We agreed on a price and wrote up a contract stating at least 40-45 clapboards would need to be replaced. Well it started off with a bang. The crews came out and and sanded the house with 16 grit die grinder. Yes digrinders!!!! When I asked them what the hell was going on they no habla. I called Jimmy and he said dont worry about it , it was part of the process. Well I have a historic replica 1700 home inside and out. the boards were ruined. the round grinders could not reach the corners so there was alot of years of paint untouched. In the contract I also stated I wanted all the windows and doors caulked and also the facia boards were there were gaps. Guess what only half were done. I had to call him back. Imagine my surprise when I came home and saw my house painted and those grinding marks showed so horrible I was livid. I called Jimmy back on Sat night and told him to get his crew back down here on Sun and fix it. Well he came back but tried to get out of it saying some crap. Well to his credit he showed with his crew. A screaming match between us about how it looks. Well I went around that night and marked almost every board that had severe gouges and swirl marks on it in white paint. He flipped out. I told him to replace every board or I will get the BBB involved and whomever else is needed. Well he shows up the next day with 3 bundles of 10 pieces each. His crew who no habla all of a sudden speaks perfect english when I asked if they wanted a pizza for lunch. I felt bad for them having to redo all of their own work. I was told by the foreman this is how Jimmy wants it done and he isnt going to replace all the boards. Well I went at it again taking pictures because I thought for sure this was heading to court. By the way they only sand the boards not any of the window trim. And their crews leave XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX all over the place , soda cans mcdonalds bag coffee cup etc. A nice wind storm came through and my neighbors lawns looked like a yard sale. Anyways he replaced the majority of the boards and it looks like crap. Imagine my surprise when I go to clean the gutters out and find ring shank nails sticking out of my roof from where they nailed a tarp up so the could do work in the rain. I had to caulk every single whole. This is just the beginning of the whole ordeal. If you want pictures of the whole abortion email me at [email protected]

My name is Jimmy O'Brien owner of Future Finish. There were sanding issues on this home because many of the clapboards were curled and damaged from many years of peeling paint and surface de-lamination. This customer signed a completion statement stating that they were 100% satisfied on completion of this job, please email us at [email protected] with any questions.
