    Complete Home Remodel/Addition
    300 days
    Our Worst Nightmare!

We would NEVER endorse this business! We hired GNT Construction/Nate Thomas for a large remodel/ addition of our home just outside Carthage, MO. The project was started on December 26, 2014 with a completion date of June 26, 2015. Our home was NEVER finished! Nate Thomas, owner, walked away. No apology, NOTHING! We paid them over $250,000. We have no idea where the money went. We were told that our 2 heat/air units were purchased. They were not. They also did not purchase our generator. Approximately 2000 sq ft of hardwood flooring was installed WAY to early. I questioned this and was told "that's the way we do things". This was told to me by David Watson, who works for GNT Construction. Well, the floor is ruined. It was installed incorrectly and 875 sq ft has to be replaced immediately. The rest will have to be replaced soon. NO cabinets in the entire home were finished, which included the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, all closets and the utility room. We paid them $9,770 EXTRA for a concrete driveway. It cracked all the way across within a month. It has a large hump in it and looks awful. We also paid them $2500 EXTRA for shelving on each side of the fireplace. They were not built correctly and never finished. We paid them well over $9,000 to build a small Trex Deck on the back side of the house. It was never finished and the extra deck pieces were stolen. They started 2 showers that had to be torn out, due to shoddy work and one of them didn't even have a pan in it! The garage doors were installed wrong and also damaged. The kitchen island plumbing was installed in the wrong place and had to be redone. The kitchen island itself was built wrong. No guttering was installed. No railings were installed on any steps. The Utility Room cabinets were painted the wrong color. The floors throughout the whole house are uneven. No toilets were ever purchased and the plumbing was never completed. The rock on the outside of the home and the trim was never completed. When we would ask any questions, we NEVER got a straight answer! We were lied to continually. This whole thing has been a huge nightmare! You cannot believe anything they say.
If there was a star rating less than "1", that is what I would choose. I was forced by this website to pick a rating.
