I'm providing three stars because I don't have anything against Chuck but his technician has difficulty communicating and I guess because he is older (retirement age) he doesn't have the patience anymore. I have three swamp coolers. I asked him to verify the wiring was correct at three different swamp coolers because they were all acting different and none correctly and a previous tenant said they did some electrical modifications without my knowledge or consent. One cooler the high speed does not work, one an alarm activates after a few minutes of being turned on and one the system keeps running even when turned off at the thermostat. He immediately informed me that he didn't know anything about these systems but would verify that there was power at the units. He said that one of the pumps was not working properly and was blowing fuses and that I needed a new pump. OK, that's easy enough but couldn't tell me why the unit would keep running when the system is turned off. He then told me that I must need new thermostats. I asked "all three went out at the same time?" His response was "I guess". He wouldn't listen as I tried to tell him the specific problem that I had with each unit and would cut me off and just walk away. It was a very unpleasant experience and the technician took off without my knowledge. I called Chuck to pay him for the service call and he stated that his tech said I was a hostile customer and he just wanted to end our relationship. He said that his technician is more important and hard to find than essentially customers. This is very disappointing because I have used them in the past and his other techs were very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Oh well, I think I called the wrong people and expected that they would understand how to troubleshoot the electrical on a swamp cooler but they didn't and instead of just saying it the tech got mad at ME.
