    New Gate

    They are an awful company to deal with. They are very quick to take your money but do not respond to issues with their gates. They put the junction box on my neighbors side of the fence and the only way to reach it is to climb over the fence! Additionally, during a power outage the gate is supposed to open automatically During the power outage we experienced for several hours the gate would not open
    Yael Sirota came out to see the issues. She rolled her eyes that their men could be so stupid to put the junction box where it is unreachable on the neighbor side. Nothing is being done to fix these problems - she is not returning our calls or texts. Do not even consider using this company

    Please Learn from my very Expensive mistake

    Hopefully someone will learn from my very expensive mistake.
    The lock Mulholland Security installed on my gate does not lock most of the time. This may be because the two main posts that hold up the gate are very loose and are about to fall down. This causes the door to not line up with the post so it could be why the door does not always lock. The gate was installed in July and it is already falling apart in November.

    The gate opener they sold me does not always work. The Mulholland Security "expert" told me that even a pebble will stop the gate opener from closing and you have to keep the track free from dirt. Since the gate is outside why did Mulholland Security choose this gate opener for an exterior installation?

    I made the mistake of paying them for my gate prior to the nail holes being filled in on the gate.

    Much to my dismay they could not figure out how to fill in the nail holes to match the stain of the gate. Some of the nail holes are too light. Some of the nail holes are too dark. Some of the nail holes are not filled in at all. So now I have a polka dotted gate.

    The Mulholland Security "expert" said, "that's just what happens with wood and they would never get the nail holes to match and they will always show." I have a house full of wood trim with the same color stain as the gate and the nail holes match fine. Mulholland Security did not install my wood trim. Fortunately I had a real craftsman do that.

    I found out from the Fire Department that the Fire Box they installed was not up to code. I had to pay to bring the gate up to code myself.

    I didn't want to run into any problems with regard to craftsmanship so I paid Mulholland Security $36,350 for the gate instead of going with a lower bid from another contractor of $18,000. I thought if I paid this higher price to Mulholland Security I would be sure to have a quality custom gate that was very secure.

    Also Mulholland Security also had really good reviews on Yelp. (Which I have now found out by reading another bad review on Yelp that Mulholland Security gave discounts for good reviews.)

    For $36,350 Mulholland Security gave me a poorly finished gate that is not secure and is starting to fall apart 4 months after Mulholland Security built it.

    When they installed the gate they left a big concrete mess all over the pavers on my driveway. They said they would pay me back if I had another company clean up their mess. I paid the other company but Mulholland Security refuses to reimburse me as they promised.

    Mulholland Security responded to my bad review on Yelp saying they are proud of the work they did for me. They don't seem to realize what a bad job they did for me. Or they are laughing all the way to the bank.

    I'm waiting to go into mediation with the Contractors Licensing Board to correct all the problems with this project because Mulholland Security will not fix them.

    It has become obvious to me they do not have the expertise to correct the problems so I am concerned regarding the outcome with the Contractors Licensing Board. The Contractors Licensing Board works hard to protect consumers from bad contractors but they are not miracle workers. If a company such as Mulholland Security takes on a project which they have no expertise to build I don't see how the Contractors Licensing Board can correct this situation.

    From the amount of Spam I still get from Mulholland Security they put their money into advertising and their website not into their products. They are experts at advertising and sales.

    Hopefully someone will learn from my very expensive mistake.
