Run away and call another small company ! My history with this company was too much.

I was introduced to this company by one of their techs, who was fine, he fixed my prior old AC. They installed my new AC system in my home. The quality of the AC/heat system is good (Rheem). However, their installers were clueless and not my original tech. They were clueless in the installation and it was not done correctly. That was 1.5 years ago. I complained to them back then, and they requested I not give a negative review and they would give me a discount on other services. I did not want to spend the energy and gave up.

However, now my thermostat went out. It is only 1.5-year-old. Polestart sent their "senior tech" to my house, knowing our past history. He tried to reset the thermostat and said he could not get it to work. He then tried to sell me a new Honeywell thermostat for $450. I pushed back. My current thermostat is under warrantee with Honeywell. I declined. I called Honeywell and had another AC company come out to fix the thermostat.

He found that the thermostat was not broken but had been set to off (setting zero). Unsure if this was done purposefully or by incompetence, but it was done.

Polestar has low quality work, no ethics, and should be avoided. They are scammers and should be placed under investigation and loose their business license.

Original Problem – Faucet in upstairs bathroom dripping water even with water supply line valves turned off.
June 20, 2014 -Polestar came out to repair faucet, removed the faucet and failed to cap off the water supply line. Appointment was made for June 26 to replace the faucet.
June 25, 10:00 PM - noticed water dripping down the main floor wall.
June 26 - Polestar called to reschedule the 10:00 AM appointment to replace faucet that was removed on June 20. I informed them of the leak and expressed my concerns and urgent need for them to come out ASAP. They still chose to wait until the next day.
June 27 - Woke up to water everywhere. As I was preparing for the new sink to be installed, I discovered the leak. The water supply hose that Polestar failed to cap off on June 20 was leaking water.
June 27, 8:00 AM - Polestar plumbers arrived, acknowledged their mistake. Polestar field supervisor came out to assess the damages. Acknowledged their liability and stated the repairs needed as follows: wood floors to be refinished; ceiling scraped, repaired and painted; water damaged wall repaired; laundry room linoleum flooring repaired or replaced.
July 8 - Polestar sent a crew out to repair damage to ceilings. They sprayed Kiltz over water spots and repainted the ceiling. Once ceiling dried water damage was still visible.
August 25 - Same crew came out painted over the visible water stains. Paint they used was a different shade of white than the paint previously used.
October 15, 2014 - Polestar field supervisor along with a co-worker came out. Again acknowledge their liability and stated the repairs to be executed. Checked the substandard job that was done when their plumber reinstalled the faucet on June 27. Discovered there was still an issue with the water supply line. Shut water supply valves off and advised me not to use that faucet/sink until they send someone out.
October 16, 2014 - Met with Mark Snell (Polestar owner). NOTE: From the beginning, I asked to meet and speak with Mark. It wasn’t until October 16 that I was given the opportunity to meet with him. During the meeting I realized his intentions were not to follow up on the repairs promised.
November 21, 2104 - Mailed a certified letter to Mark Snell (Polestar owner) requesting action to be taken by Polestar to complete the repairs, due to water damage caused by Polestar.
As of thisdate, no repairs have been started and/or completed.
