Steve did an outstanding and professional job. He is a true professional in every way. He provided excellent communications throughout the project, he always arrived on time, explained each step of the work, asked for our preferences, and made sure our home was clean every day before they left the site. Steve installed shiplap ceiling planks in three rooms of our home - including a vaulted ceiling kitchen. I highly recommend Svd Construction for any job large or small. I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

SVD construction capped my windows and replaced some rotted wood around said windows. He did an excellent job. He was a gentleman, showed up on time, and cleaned up after the job. He really did an excellent work. My windows look brand new! I can't say enough nice things about him.

SVD was by far the best contractor for my project. I had four contractors come out and bid on putting in new sliding glass doors. Not only was Stefan very competitive in his bid, he was the most responsive in terms of showing up and his follow up. The work that he did was meticulous, the doors look wonderful! He was very respectful of people that were moving around the house going about their daily routine, he was mindful of the dust, cleaned up, as it was quite a mess, and he worked through the rain. Besides doing excellent work installing our door, we were extremely pleased with Stepan's work ethic. We had been looking for a contractor for quite some time but no one seemed interested in actually working - they wouldn't call back, send what they promised, or even show up. Then I stumbled upon Buildzoom and SVD was the first to contact me back. Stepan kept in touch, did everything he said he would when he said he would, and did amazing work. The team was professional and experienced. They took the time to make sure I was happy with the work as they quickly knocked out a project of 28 windows that I know would have taken me a year to complete. They were careful with my furniture that they moved and made sure I was happy with the completed product. I would definitely have them back out again.

Steven, theowner, and another gentleman came to install doors, windows and storm doors in my living room. It was a pleasure to see them work so diligently and they were extremely polite. After they finished the work, everything was cleaned, swept and cleared away. I would definitely recommend his company and intend to use him for future projects.

Stephan came in to do some finish work on a hardwood floor project. I installed almost 1000 ft2 of hardwood in my in-laws second floor and I wasn't comfortable with removing and re-installing the handrail and the custom stair nose around the staircase as this was only my second time installing hardwood. He came in and quickly took off the railing and installed the stair nose trim pieces. A few days later when I was ready for him to return, he came back and re-installed the railing showing me things that made me think I could try it myself next time. He also showed me a few tips that would make my flooring job much easier. I had a hardwood question after he was gone and he happily answered it over the phone and got me out of a jam.

Very reasonable rates and very professional with great quality. I would definitely hire him to do work in my own home and will recommend him to anyone who asks for a professional contractor.

Stepan showed up on time, as scheduled, ready to work. I had only contacted him the day before about an emergency (my powder room toilet flooded and the rising water damaged all the baseboards). I called and asked if he could come and repair the damage right away (I had a dozen people coming over for dinner the next night, after I discovered the damage). I would highly recommend Stepan. He painted several rooms for us and did a wonderful job. He and his crew were on-time, hard working and pleasant to deal with. I appreciated that they were efficient and left the job site neat and clean when they were finished. It is clear that they take pride in their work and enjoy what they do.

Stephan completed the job we agreed to have done, on time and in budget which is a rarity these days. Our past experience with other contractors have been late delivery, lots of excuses, and over budget by a standard 20%.

The workmanship was very good. In addition his customer service skills were fantastic. We have him lined up to do a few more jobs, each a bit more complex over the next few months. I have to admit, we were a little skeptical at first because we did not recognize the name, but he came highly recommended from our designer. It was clear the recommendation was right on target. We would have no reservations about recommending Stephan's company.

SVD is wonderful! We've been using them for a couple of years now for various projects around our home and they are always on time and within budget and can do pretty much anything we ask -- we are grateful to have a dependable, honest and high-quality contractor we can call on when we need help. Also, they are great with children! My 4 year old likes to "help" with any home projects and Stepan and his guys are so nice to let him help and watch and learn.
