I hired Ben Lamm of HBL Remodeling and he seam to be a really good contractor until his wrong side of things came out in the open. First he charge me for a 12x12 deck with screened in porch. He stoped at 11 feet and 6 inches and was going to put a post in front a bathroom window until my fatner inlaw seen and questioned it. Once I learned about it I was told to add 2 more feet it would be an extra $175.00 to cover up the mistake that Ben Lamm caused. The truth was he only added 9 inches just to get by from putting the post for the roof in front of the bathroom window Deck is only 12/12feet 3 inches. Next a new screened in porch should come with a new screen door. Ben chagred another $50 to make that happen. Next he charged an extra $100 for a little building door that was to be new. Once he was done he said I will give you a 3 year warrenty with his work. 1 week later it rained and the roof leaked. He was asked to come fix the leak. He showed back up and said that should do it for ya. Few days later it rained again and still the roof leaked even worst then it did before. Ben said I will come back and put a new roof on it again, on 9/10/11 he still hasn't come back to fix yet. He was called and was aaked to come fix he keeps saying I will once I finish this job hes on. He never come back. I called him to ask Ben Lamm to let a real roofing company come back and fix his work and pay for it Ben said and I quote (F..K You) to his customer. Beware of this fly by night guy Ben Lamm (HBL REMODELING , INC he will end up taking you for a ride.
