Bobby’s guys did a great job of painting my house; I would recommend them for that only.
After successfully painting my home, I hired them to refinish my three-level, 1000 square foot deck. After that ordeal, I would not recommend them for anything EXCEPT painting.
Facts:
•Contractor underbid the job, due to his lack of knowledge on the subject
•Contractor was confused about what work was actually bid and therefore he did not come with the right tools on day one (which wasted a ton of time)
•We had to rent a sander for a day after they claimed they were "done" to get the entire deck the same color and to our satisfaction
•They brought a 6 year old child to the job site and actually let him sand my deck (that could have been a huge insurance issue for me if he got hurt)
•They seem to work the 1ish to 9ish p.m. shift
•Deck refinishing is a “new” experience for this contractor as admitted by his workers
Final Inspection:
•Jobsite had empty candy wrappers, water/pop bottles and an empty bottle of liquor
•One edge of deck was missed entirely
•Stain spots (oil based) all over my brand new hot tub cover
•Providing the benefit of a doubt… the product representative inspected and advised that either 1) the deck needed more prep beyond sanded bare wood or 2) the product was applied incorrectly – take your pick. The reps guess is that I will be refinishing areas next year as a result. I will be lucky to get 6months wear where the product is too thick.
