He was our contractor throughout the process of renovating our basement and upstairs bathroom. Both turned out great and we are very happy with the final result. My wife and I are first time home owners, so we were very appreciative of the time and attention that Pete gave to us throughout the renovation process. We sat down with him to explain how we wanted the basement to look and he would quickly get back to us with formalized floor plans. Despite changing our minds a few times about how we wanted the lay out to be configured, he was very patient and continued to offer improved suggestions that we had not thought about before. When we finally did settle on a floor plan, he and his team were ready to start right away and they worked very efficiently. In just about 2-3 weeks, they had renovated our basement into a habitable space that was also much more aesthetically pleasing than before. Additionally, within this time he was also able to make sure that our bathroom wall was restructured and re-tiled as the previous wall was about ready to cave in. Along the way, Pete went above and beyond what was expected of him and often helped us with things around the house that were completely outside of the scope of his work. He also gave us a bunch of advice on how we could make our house more efficient and sustainable. Many of the products he used while renovating the basement and bathroom (toilets, lights, sealant for the floor, etc.) were eco-friendly and we appreciate the effort to help us reduce our carbon footprint. In summary, we were extremely pleased with our contractor and we highly recommend EcoInstallations.

BuildZoom has one simple purpose: To help you find the perfect contractor.
How we do this is more complicated. BuildZoom is a database of every licensed contractor in the United States. We work hard to figure out who the great contractors are, and who the bad contractors are.
BuildZoom combines license information on 3.5 million contractors with 70 million building permits, and over a million reviews from homeowners and the Better Business Bureau.
If you are looking for a specific contractor and you can’t find them on BuildZoom, it’s likely that they do not have a license - please contact us and we’ll try to help!
The best way to use BuildZoom is to let us recommend contractors for your remodeling projects.
Homeowners who hire through BuildZoom's free bidding system report high rates of satisfaction, and homeowners who research contractors online are twice as likely to be happy at the end of their project.
If you hire a contractor through BuildZoom, that contractor is accountable to us. We can enforce standards of behavior, mediate disputes, and guarantee satisfaction.

We built this site to help people find great contractors, and to help people avoid bad contractors. We take this incredibly seriously, and we have a zero tolerance policy for contractors who don’t adhere to our standards.
1 million people use BuildZoom every month. Our business depends on their trust.
If a contractor does poor work, they will no longer receive leads from BuildZoom, and a negative review will be posted on their profile.
First and foremost, we rely on the recommendations of our homeowners.
10 million people a year visit BuildZoom, and they give us a lot of information. If our homeowners have a good experience with a contractor, we increase the contractor’s BuildZoom score. If our homeowner has a bad experience with a contractor, we lower their score and will never recommend them again.
In addition to feedback from our homeowners, we look at the contractor’s license history, their rating with the Better Business Bureau, and their work history.
We need to know what type of work contractors do, and where they do it. To help with this, we’ve analyzed 75 million building permits to learn about the type of work contractors perform, how much repeat business they get within a neighborhood or at a specific house, the typical cost of one of their projects, and a lot more.
We even look at the value of the houses they work on, and the income of their customers. We know exactly what type of work contractors are doing, whether it’s a huge custom home build, bathroom remodeling, restaurant build out, office tenant improvement, or small plumbing job. Our algorithms have consistently been able to use this data to identify the right contractor for any type of job.
Their score will increase or decrease based on these variables.
