Attic Modification Work
I’m planning to build a loft above my unfinished attic, which will eventually be finished into a great room. The design must ensure compliance with height restrictions by creating a modest human cupola, approximately 10.5' × 10.5' (up to 12' × 12' maximum). The loft will be accessed by a spiral staircase resting on the attic’s structural floor.
Additional requirements:
Add windows to the east and west gables
Replace the current pull-down attic stairs with a full stairway featuring winders for access to the attic great room.
