Total thief!
I wish I'd read these reviews before we hired him. He seemed nice and provided a fair bid in writing. I didn't see anything bad written about him on Angies List. So we hired him. AND paid him 1/2 of the job up front for materials and first week of pay. He showed up the first day and seemed to make progress. He showed up the second day, worked for a couple hours and said he needed a certain tool or something. He split and we never saw his face again. He took whatever materials he'd purchased with our money as well as the money we'd paid up front. Horrible.

We were on site regularly both days to help in any way we could. We walked in on him smoking...in our home. Nice. (We didn't even say anything; we just wanted the job done.)

We called, texted and emailed trying to get him to respond. Finally he sent my husband an email with a couple of lame excuses. And he never addressed our questions about him giving us our money back or at least the materials that he "purchased" with our money.

Here's an email I sent and his response back. He would not even engage in my emails...so frustrating.

Adam,
My husband forwarded me your email. You should have spoken with me and/or him about your concerns. We’ve given you every opportunity to do so, and I think you’ve found by now that we are very reasonable and can help find solutions and run defense for you so that you can focus on your work. We’ve made ourselves available to help with prep work. The last I understood yesterday was that you would be working in the little bedroom until it was finished and move on from there. Best I can tell, only one coat is on the ceiling…nothing on the walls.

Please return my call so that we can discuss and come to an agreement/solution. Walking out on the job and not returning for the day …especially when it is prime time to get work done..(no one was in the living room/dining area for many hours)….without telling anyone and without returning phone calls is not an acceptable solution.
