Ally Architecture is a full service architecture practice with experience in the design of single family homes, multi-family developments, commercial, industrial, and educational buildings. Jared Hueter, AIA is a graduate of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Founder/Principal of Ally Architecture in Chattanooga, TN. He is licensed in Tennessee and Arkansas.
Jared has been an outspoken advocate for responsible design and a community volunteer since 2005. As a student, he founded and served as the President of ReVision, a multi-disciplinary student organization focused on solving social issues through design. Jared Co-Founded the CITYbuild Consortium of Schools and moved to New Orleans to serve as the organizations Program Director. In this role, he coordinated the work of over 20 design schools’ design build efforts in post Katrina New Orleans. During this time, he served as a Tulane University Americorps Vista and Design Corps Fellow.
Following his fellowship, Jared served 3.5 years as the Dean of Design of the Priestley Charter School of Architecture and Construction. He worked with a team of 40 teachers and 400 students to develop a unique high school design curriculum for New Orleans’ academically at risk youth.
Since moving to Chattanooga in 2013, Jared has developed and Co-Directed the Learn by Design Program in partnership with the AIA TN, Green Spaces Chattanooga, and Hamilton County Schools. He also developed and Curated Passageways Chattanooga 1.0 in partnership with AIA TN and The River City Co. He is currently working on a series of need based projects including a primary school in Lima, and a mobile farm stand for an urban farm in Chattanooga. Jared is the AIA Chattanooga 2019 President.
In his professional design work, Jared has been honored to work as a lead designer with Mathes Brierre Architects in New Orleans, Project Architect at Cogent Studio in Chattanooga, and Project Architect at Workshop Architecture, Chattanooga. Projects of note include North Kenilworth preK-8 School, Deutsches Haus Community Center, The World War II National Museum Restoration Pavilion, Techtown Chattanooga, and East by Main Community.
He has served as AIA Gulf States Regional Associate Director, AIA National Associates Committee Director, and Board Member of the Gert Town Revival Initiative. Jared has been awarded the ACSA Collaborative Practice Award, the Design Corps Design for the Underserved Award, Ameri Corps VISTA Service Award, Alpha Rho Chi Medal, and was featured in Architect magazine’s the Millennials.
