Quentin Barter, founder of Barter Construction, began his career working on large commercial properties before turning to residential carpentry, where he gained broad experience across all aspects of the trade. After helping rebuild homes in Santa Cruz following the Loma Prieta Earthquake, he relocated to the Lake Tahoe region nearly three decades ago and established Barter Construction in 2000.
