In July of 2022, I was in Shawnee, KS driving on Flint Street just south of frontage road right next to a new Dutch Bros Coffee that was being built by Bear Construction Services and as I was breaking, my truck fell into a hole that was not covered and my front wheels hit the front edge really hard. I got out and checked the front of my truck because of the hard impact and I did not notice anything wrong. I did however take pictures of the road and the missing plate and contacted the city of Shawnee. After getting home, I realized that one of my front tires was flat so I took my truck to Shore Tire in Lenexa to get it checked out. That is when I found out that I had a cracked wheel. I contacted the City of Shawnee and they put me in contact with JJ of Bear Construction(913-238-4623). JJ admitted that they made a mistake and told me that they accidentally had the Metal plate removed without filling the hole back in. He then told me to contact Leland Hicks(The Owner) and that he would take care of the damage. I talked to Leland Hicks one time and he assured me that everything would be taken care of. After that conversation, he would not return any of my phone calls or text messages. I am now into this almost a year and I still can't get him to call me back.
