He doesn't even deserve a star. Glen Goddard is a low down dirty crook. This sneaky conniving con artist should not be in business. Everyone needs to be aware of the scams that he runs on people. He steals your hard working money. Our family is going on 5 months and our basement isn't finished. He will not answer calls and has neglected to pay the sub contractors for the work that they have done. Anyone reading this..please file your complaints with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office. I have sent my story to channel 6, please email me if you want your story to be a part what I am sharing as well. Email me on [email protected]

I've had the same experience as all of the other 1 star people. This is a nightmare. I don't know how he is still in business. I am contacting 6 on your side, he's repeating with me what all of the rest of you are complaining about. Lies, no communication, no shows, ect.

Buyer Beware!!!!! Glen Goddard is the biggest crook I've ever encountered! Very unprofessional and untrustworthy! He makes the sale, then disappears off the face of the earth after he sends in his subcontractors he lures from craigslist. Instead of paying his subcontractors, he disappears, owing them thousands of dollars, then posts more ads on craigslist to lure new crews to victimize the same way. He has absolutely no concern for the homeowners or the subcontractors. He is a liar and a thief. The only reason I even gave him a one star rating, was to have access to leave this HONEST review.

Clearly these positive reviews were written by Glen himself. Notice that the wording is very similar.

CONSUMER ALERT
Bee-Improvements is far from reputable, I would classify them as despicable. I would not recommend them to anyone and I mean anyone! We too were scammed. My husband and I had responded to an insert that was attached to our mailbox in mid-October. Prior to that we had done our research and nothing derogatory was found. So, we proceeded to inquire about their services and express our interest in a finished basement.
Soon thereafter, a representative from this company (Glenn Taylor) claiming to be the owner through an inheritance contacted us. Through many calls and house visits, he convinces us that his company can do the job that we were wanting at a reasonable price and have it completed within 2 weeks. In addition, they were offering a free “51” flat screen TV and carpeted steps to all new customers. In the midst of everything, Glenn also mentions that all of their supplies come from Home Depot which they have account with, so should we see something different that we wanted to just let him know and he will compromise with any changes. Who would turn that down?
Finally, after careful thought and consideration our contract was signed on 10/22/2012. The binding contact between us and this company at the time appeared to be very lucrative and just what we wanted. We had been saving for our basement so we were able to put a nominal amount of money down as a deposit while only having to finance a fraction of the cost.
Eagerly waiting, two weeks had come and gone. No courtesy call from anyone to explain when and what time they would arrive. So, I call the office number (that no one ever answers) “614-384-5912”. I leave a very detailed message. I also call Glenn’s cell number and after leaving several calls and messages, it’s a long while before I hear from him. Coincidentally, we receive a call but it’s not Glenn, it’s a representative from Rite Rug. I guess they sub contract with them as well. They come out and measure and their exact words to us were “we were under the impression that your work was complete, we can not measure or lay carpet until the other work is done”.
A few days later, we receive a call from sub contractors advising us of the day and time they would be out to begin work on our basement. By this time, we are completely agitated at the lack of communication we’ve received thus far. Keep in mind, we are close to Thanksgiving and this project should have been completed prior to Thanksgiving.Anyway, the contractors began the project making it very clear that there is no way they would be completely done by Thanksgiving; however Christmas would be more attainable. As they began the work on our basement, we would soon find out that what we thought would be finished would not be. All of the sales talk and pictures were deceptive.
After, most of the dry wall was hung; we noticed that our laundry room (which is very spacious) did not have dry wall. I tried calling Bee-Improvements again, no answer. So I sent a text message to Glenn and he replied back to say “most people don’t want to pay for that room to be finished”. So I replied back to inquire about the additional cost and to state that there was no exclusion in our contract to say that this would not be done and after that I never heard back. So the story gets deeper…several weeks later the contractors arrive with items to complete the bathroom in the basement, none of which we liked. None of these items were items we were shown through the pictures of work that was already completed (deception)!!!
We expressed our dissatisfaction with the lack of quality in the material, went to Home Depot priced out all of the items they purchased and my husband and I picked out what we wanted. Immediately, someone claiming to work with Glenn calls to facilitate our changes with the bathroom. He proceeds to tell us since the items that we wanted far exceeds the items they normally get, we would be responsible for the difference and since it was a special order, they needed the money asap so that they complete the basement. So we fork over more money. Our check is cashed right away and when we called Home Depot a week later to inquire about our special order, there was never one made.
Long story short, for various reasons there were several times where the contractors were either late or just wouldn’t show at all. Things were getting worse. Come to find out they too were getting the short end of the stick. Our basement could not get finished because they did not have the appropriate funds or supplies to complete the job.
I am still very dissatisfied with the service I have and still am receiving. To this day (January 30th) our basement has not been finished. The special order items for our bathroom, our back-up sump pump, carpet, paint, flooring, doors, knobs and the TV we were promised are still left uncompleted.
My last conversation with Glenn was this morning which was purely by trickery. I had a friend call and act as if she was interested in a basement. Glenn called her back immediately and she handed me the phone. Let’s just say my conversation with him was not very pleasant. He still continues to lie and make promises that he can’t keep. He has not been able to account for his negligence and answers as to where our money has gone and why our basement has not been finished.
I’m not sure how he has been able to operate this long stealing and conniving people. However, I will not tolerate this. His actions are that of a con artist and as far as I am concerned he should not be able to legally operate any kind of business. I do intend to contact the media, social networks, BBB as well as the Attorney Generals office. There may be grounds for litigation however; I will leave that in the hands of an attorney.

I had my basement finished recently by Bee and had a very positive experience. I referred my brother and was over to his house over the weekend and he is also extremely happy. I am having Bee do a paver patio for me in the spring. My salesman Bill was informative, polite and professional. I give them an A+.

Wow! Can't say I am surprised to see the other complaints. Simply put, stay away from this company! I feel fortunate that our work has been completed, but it took several hours of my time and many phone calls for the work to keep from getting into the mess it sound like others are in.
I caught the owner Glen in several lies, after he gave me excuse after excuse as to why the materials were not here for the contractors to work with, or as to why the contractors didn't show up to work.
The contractors were great to work with, I wish I would have known of them prior to signing a contract with Bee Improvements. They told me they had not been paid for the past 2 jobs when they started mine, and unfortunately they still haven't been paid for my job or the job before it to this date. I have now received a letter from the contractors law firm about how if Bee Improvements does not pay the workers who completed my job within so many days, they will put a mechanic's lien on my property.
I could write a book about all of the lies and excuses I was told by Glen, do yourself a favor and find another company or one of the hard working sub-contractors that did a great job, but unfortunately aren't getting paid.

At first our experience was pleasant, thats b/c they did not have our money yet. It took the contractors about 2 months to finish our basement. Really it is still not completely finished. We felt bad at the time for the contractor who told us if we didn't sign off he would not get paid. He promised to come back that week. He never did. After a month and a half went by we contacted the company and told them what had happened
which i understand was not their fault what we did. But again they came and finished part of the work, but promised to come back to finish the bathroom which has an odor coming from the shower. After promising over and over no one has still showed up. No return phone calls. Keep in mind, we started this process in september and it is now january! They have no respect for people's time or money. We took a loan out for 25,000.00 on which we are paying for and still we have not heard from them! I would never recommend this company!!! ever!!! Contractor lied to us several times and Glenn as well. I have no idea how a company could stay in business treating customers this way!! -

Bee Improvement is currently attempting to complete our basement project they began over 8 weeks ago. The largest issue with this company is its owner, Glenn.
Glenn, also our sales representative, has not lived up to the reputation he originally portrayed. His staff and subcontractors exaggerate time to completion, create a hostile work environment through infighting, complaining to clients about Glenn not paying them, and harassing clients by threatening to place liens against the property for not receiving payments from Glenn, of course impossible as the only contract is between the home owner an Bee Improvement, not the subcontractor. Additionally, the crews lack of respect for my home, time, and pure lack of professional character has been a testament to the deplorable leadership of Glenn. The constant run around the Glenn has used to foster the delay is in excusable. By no means would I ever give Bee Improvement and Glenn a positive referral. -

The recent storm damaged our roof, and we chose Bee Improvements to fix our roof. What a great experience! They handled everything, including making sure our insurance company paid for the roof to be replaced, not just repaired. The roof was replaced in one day! We would recommend them, and actually just contracted them again to finish our basement.

We had Bee Improvements build a 16 x 16 deck for us. The process began in May and the deck was finally completed in July. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The men who bee improvements contracted to do the actual work and build our deck were great, slow, but great and did a fantastic job. The problem with this company lies within the management and the salesmen. They are VERY unorganized, miss and/or are late to all appointments, don't follow up or follow through with what they promise they will do, unless they want your money, then they are in constant contact with you. The only reason I gave them two stars is because the contractor built a great deck, which had nothing to do with the employees of Bee Improvements. I would hire that contractor anytime. I'm just glad it's over!

We contacted Bee Improvements to have a 30'x16' deck and concrete patio added to our home. After setting up a time for the contractor to come out and give us a quote, he never showed. We called to find out what the problem was and why he didn't show. They apologized and rescheduled the visit. Again, he didn't show and no phone call to explain why. We called the main office once again to find out what was going on. We allowed them to reschedule the appointment for the third time. This time a manager named Greg called 20 minutes after the scheduled time to tell us that they would not make the appointment. He wanted to reschedule for the following week, we did not reschedule.
If you are looking for a responsible contractor that that believes your time is just as important as theirs. Bee Improvements is NOT the company for you. I will not be recommending them to anyone I know due to their unprofessional business practices.
