Bobby Jones Custom Homes

Bobby Jones Custom Homes was founded by Bobby and Lori Jones in the summer of 2018. Bobby is a second- generation builder who at age 12 began working alongside his father. After earning his BBA at Texas State, he returned to building. While working for homebuilders like Perry Homes, Scott Felder Homes, and Ryland Homes, he learned the production building business. At Ryland Homes, the San Antonio Division, Bobby became the youngest Vice President of Construction in the company nationwide.

They started their own construction company in 2000 and successfully ran its operation until 2009 when the focus changed to commercial construction. Bobby returned to managing construction for another builder until reopening in 2018. Bobby has built homes featured in Country Living and Southern Living magazines, and has won numerous builder association awards during his building career. Being the son of a builder and master carpenter, he cultivated a passion for fine craftsmanship and hard work that he’s carried throughout his career.

Lori earned her BS in Health Administration from Texas State University and worked in the health insurance industry for NYLCare, Aetna, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. When they made the decision to build on their own, Lori came on board to run the administration and operations. In 2009, she accepted a position with Ad Valorem Specialists, a property tax consulting firm, and became their Director of Operations. When the company moved to Dallas, she started her own bookkeeping and construction administration business which she held until relocating to Sherman and joining forces with Bobby at FHG Builders LLC/Bobby Jones Custom Homes.

Bobby and Lori, together with their three children, now call Sherman home and attend Sherman Bible Church. Bobby and his boys, Dane and Broc love the outdoors, re-enacting, hunting and fishing. Lori and Mara enjoy watching historical re-enactments, sewing and cooking. They all look forward to a fun and successful new chapter in their lives helping others by building dream homes that are not only beautiful and structurally sound, but with a rare attention to detailed craftsmanship.
