They say thieves come in all shapes and forms well this one has his ish down pack people..You will have a fire Howard will come talking sweet and low comforting you telling you he knows how to use exact a mate a tool.insurance companies use. Them he tosses names around. If you are with all state he will toss names from there Geico names from there as he is a classic name wh**. After this he will have you sign a contract combining ALL services contracting remediation and mold care. Listen you have a right to split these services up you DO NOT have to accept a bundle from one person but Howard wont tell you that. He will hound you calling day and night until you sign. He even told the insurance people was my contracter and and I never signed anything. I had to make them stop speakimg with him. He called me 29 times in one night 18x that day. I went online read some reviews and baby i was floored. You better do the same check porch.com to learn the truth about this slippery oil salesman.

Working with Mr. Bennett was a delight and easy to work with. I hire him after my insurance was giving me a hard time and not returning any of my calls. My home caught on fire and the process was a nightmare but Mr.Bennett came and made the process really easy, he fixed my house on time and I was able to move back in within a year.

Mr. Howard was highly recommended to us. We had our kitchen completely remodel and it turned out better that what I thought it would. He recommended to take some walls down which totally gave my home and open floor concept, my house looks like a new model home. Now I want Mr. Howard to come back and remodel the whole front of my outdated home.. .want it to match the inside now, can't wait for him to start!!! I hired Word of Mouth to build an addition and attached a deck to the addition.
The job got started right away Mr. Bennett (Mr. Wonderful) was a pleasure working with and he even assisted in the décor of the room which everyone loves.
I have no complaints. The time frame was a little off due to inspections and permits however, that was to be expected. He built a composite deck with two set of stair and installed lighting in the steps and around the railings. Its beautiful. I have recommend him to my friend and family.

Howard Bennett is a fraud thief and criminal. He refused to fix issues resulting from an overpriced job he did in my home and like the experience of a everyone here he was very arrogant, belligerent and hostile. Its a shame I didn't do my due diligence only because he came highly recommended. I took him to court and like the previous still waiting to collect.

Firstly, Im very surprised by these other reviews. Howard Bennett did a great job on my house and everything was complete in the time frame he gave me. He remodeled the entire first floor of my house including the kitchen and bathroom. I now have an open floor plan. Im very happy with the work Howard and his workers did at my house and the experience was very pleasant from the initial phone call to the finished project. And compared to other contractors in the area, his price was pretty good as well!

Had front porches ,steps, and walkway rebuilt by Word of Mouth Home Improvement of Hillside, NJ. Job done professionally, and in a timely manner. Howard Bennett and his crew were very courteous. Good Price also. We are always getting compliments on the new appearance of our house.

I hired word of mouth home improvement to remodeled my kitchen and 3 bathrooms, I had a very wonderful experience with Word of mouth home improvement. After signing a contract and picking out the color of cabinets and granite counter tops. His team of workers came to the house and gutted everything that needs to be gutted and did all the plumbing, electrical, tiles etc. Just the way I wanted it, now my house is beautiful, when I have company over every one loves the way my house looks. Howard Bennett is a thief and a liar . We hired him to remodel our home in 2010 . This dishonest individual left us with an unfinished kitchen and bathroom. He charge us 50,000.00 to complete that he never did. My husband also had words with Howard. It looks like it is is habit to take customers to his home because we have also been to his home in hillside where he took us. We took him to court and got a judgement against him for the total. Nothing has come out of that yet so we hires a lawyer to find him. Five years later we are still going ahead with the case to discipline Howaed Bennett. He can only run for so long but we will get our money back.

Howard Bennett from Word of Mouth is the most disrespectful person I've ever hired. I hired him to get my place up and going after a recent fire. He came the same day to give me a quote and brought me to his office in Hillside New Jersey, and brought me to a few of his friends houses that he worked in. His price was very good, but his work was very bad quality. He used cracked scraps of molding from other jobs, paint color that I didn't pick out, and other miscellaneous low quality work. He didn't complete half the job and now my kitchen is gutted completely. Not only is he completely paid for; he told me he isn't coming to finish the job because I wouldn't give him any additional money. (The contract was paid in full) Once I told him I had no more money to give him he got angry, started using derogatory language and saying I was being a "cheap Jew". Eventually things escalated to the point where we had to call the cops because he wouldn't return my house keys or leave my house, and he physically assaulted me. Now I have a cut on my face and bruises all over my arm from grabbing me. I would really like to warn other people so this doesn't happen to anyone else!
