Welcome to Cape Coastal Builders. While we are builders of homes, we also consider ourselves stewards of dreams. There’s so much more that goes into your home than wood and windows, shingles and shutters. You have a vision for exactly how you want your dream home to be. Our job is to make that dream a reality.

We take great pride in making the process of building your home as perfect as the finished product. Cape Coastal is a family business with an emphasis on the word family. Peter Hopple, our founder is a third-generation builder who was on a job site as soon as he could walk. Peter’s grandfather gave him his first tool set and his first lesson on how to use them. Of all of the things he taught Peter, the most important was to finish a job as well as he started it.

All of us here at Cape Coastal Builders have deep roots on the Cape, and a lifetime spent here has influenced the way we will build your home. We know how beautiful and challenging this place can be so we choose materials that will stand the test of time. The exterior fasteners we specify are made of stainless steel or specially treated, so they do not rust. Two by six construction is sturdier than two by four construction, and allows more room for insulation. There is no place on our job site or your home for second rate materials or workmanship.

Doing the work correctly is just as important as working with the best materials. Whether we are framing your building, crafting one-of-a-kind window trim, presenting five inches of exposed shingles to the weather, flashing a chimney with genuine lead, or crafting copper gutters and downspouts, a dedication to doing things right, the first time, is what makes our work endure.

That includes the way we collaborate with you. The new way to express our approach is “transparency.” We prefer to think of it as trust and honesty with a healthy respect for communication. Creating your home is a collaborative effort, and your involvement will make the finished work as beautiful as you imagine it to be.
