    replace concrete steps
    $1,200

    Vanvleet construction replaced the concrete steps coming up to my home from the city sidewalk. The job was poorly done. When I discussed the quality of the job with Mr. Vanvleet he stated that he had done a great job and there was nothing wrong with the steps. I had another contractor look at the steps and he noted the inconsistent riser dimensions, slope, a hump in the middle of one step, low areas also stating the forms were removed too soon and the concrete was very overworked with slurry flung across one step and left to cure as a permanent eyesore . Mr Vanvleet was upset that another contractor had critiqued his work. I asked that the steps be redone and I never heard from Mr. Vanvleet again.
