In 1983, Terry received his NC General Contractors license and had his first son, Cameron. Starting a family and a new business he took every construction job that was offered to him and began to gain a reputation of professionalism and quality craftsmanship. With time, his family grew to include a daughter, Stephanie, and two more sons, Dillon and Brett and his business grew to become one of the premier home builders in Western North Carolina. In 2003, when it came time to incorporate, he renamed the company, Construction Specialties & Design Builders, Inc. [CSDB] as an acronym for his four children, Cameron, Stephanie, Dillon and Brett. Currently, the family has grown from six to thirteen people and even includes three grandchildren!

In 2009, CSDB, Inc. acquired an Unlimited North Carolina General Contractors License making it possible to take on not only homes but also commercial projects. Finally, in 2012 CSDB, Inc. became licensed in South Carolina. Our family works daily to stay on the competitive edge of pricing your home and continuing to educate ourselves in the newest and the best products and options available for your new home.
