dakinstreet was formed in 2008 by Steve Stone. After graduating from Illinois Institute of Technology, Steve worked for various firms in Chicago and here in Mobile before deciding to launch a company formed around a core of thoughtful design and above-and-beyond customer attention.

Steve is licensed in Alabama & Illinois and is NCARB-certified to practice in all states.

Steve’s experience runs the gamut from working on individual logos to small residential renovations to high-rise condominiums and much in-between. The commitment to design, attention, and service does not vary with the scale or scope of the project.

The name dakinstreet stems from where Steve grew up on the north side of Chicago. In a small-world instance, the current owner of the building at 2442 is also an architect and runs his business out of the building.
