Divine Interior Creations

I studied and graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale back in the early 90's. On the job training is what I am most grateful for and the divine gift I have to create amazing interiors. I like to personally select everything that goes into an interior space, never using the same thing twice, so every job I do is truly personally customized.

My grandmother was a seamstress in the garment industry way back when and when my parents moved down here they built a custom home in Coral Springs. They were looking for the perfect draperies and in their search ended up actually buying a company that made them, and started making draperies in their garage. I was in finance and decided to go to the Art Institute for Design to be part of the family success. My talent went beyond draperies and I have never looked back. Mom is still an amazing seamstress creating many of the window coverings I place in my installations. It is wonderful to still be working together.

I have worked with all types of customers, both residential and commercial in and out of the country. Places such as The Cayman Islands and Tortola. I have done commercial interior spaces like The Holiday Inn in Montclaire, NJ, down to a boutique hotel in South Beach called The Beacon. I have even created an alter at a church called The Love Tabernacle in Lake Worth, FL. A 501-C3 always has a tight budget and I was able to stay within it using ingenious finishing touches and just the right lighting - creativity sent from the heavens! I do have to say that I have an affinity with working in residential homes. There is a deep connection I have with my clients and what they are looking to create.

Make sure when you are hiring a professional that THEY know what YOU want. You want honesty in a designer. Make sure that they are hearing your ideas first, and will work with a piece you are IN LOVE with, if you don't want to give it up. They need to make YOU think!

There are many ideas on the internet, and that is all well and good, though they are not to scale and this is why a designer is so important. I create a cozy feeling where an area literally speaks "come sit with me."
Communicate with your designer about a particular piece you don't want to give up, start thinking about the colors and hues that speak from your soul. I will give a client a bunch of magazines to leave with them to show me what they like and dislike, so I can get into their head to get to know them. Clients' want to have a realistic budget in mind for the ENTIRE project.

That WOW EFFECT is something EVERY client of mine is excited about, and they are especially excited to show off their new home!
