Dutton Architects was founded in 2005, following a partnership of five years with two other Los Angeles architects. It is a boutique design firm dedicated to providing the highest level of personal service to its clients. Dutton Architects specializes in working within unique situations- no two projects are ever the same. The architectural work focuses on custom residential projects (both single family and multi-family) and challenging commercial and institutional spaces (like creative office design, restaurants, and libraries). We relish figuring out what each client dreams of doing, or needs to do as a business, and discovering the architectural manifestation of that program. Our urban design work focuses on intelligent and sensitive master plans, site planning and architectural interventions, work that helps foster urban environments that contribute positively to a place. Ultimately we desire our urban work to counter the placeless and thoughtless sprawl which has so dominated our cities and suburbs.
