Edward Ogosta Architecture

A second-generation native of Los Angeles, founder and principal Ed Ogosta brings nineteen years of architectural experience to the practice. Ed takes an active hand in running all aspects of the business at EOA, from initial client contact, through concept design, project management, and construction administration. With a broad expertise in institutional, commercial, and residential design, Ed is committed to creating an architecture of clarity that is deeply rooted to its culture, site, and context.

In addition to being a practitioner, Ed led design studios for several years as a Professor of Architecture at Woodbury University in Burbank, California. Ed has also served as a Visiting Professor of Architecture at the Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey (CEDIM) in Monterrey, Mexico, as well as a frequent guest juror for studios at USC, UCLA, the University of Arizona, CalPoly Pomona, and Otis College of Art and Design. He has been a speaker at numerous events, including the 2013 "Sustainability & Design" panel organized by Angeleno magazine, and the 2018 “Architecture & Beyond” lectures on notable emerging Los Angeles architects. Ed also served on the Board of Directors for the Harvard Club of Southern California, and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Design, as well as the acting Chair of the Culver City Planning Commission.

Prior to EOA, Ed worked for over a decade at several of the most respected architecture firms in Los Angeles. From 2006-2011, he served as Associate at Clive Wilkinson Architects, leading numerous international, multimillion-dollar office, cultural, and higher education projects from programming through design and construction, and was instrumental in the firm's operations. Prior to that, Ed worked several years as an Architect in the offices of Michael Maltzan Architecture and SPF:architects. Among the projects in which Ed played an essential role throughout his career: the UCLA Hammer Museum Billy Wilder Theater, the KCRW public radio + media campus at Santa Monica College, the Getty Villa museum in Malibu, headquarters for Nokia in Helsinki and Macquarie Bank in Sydney, as well as several high-end modern residences. Nearly every project with which he has been involved received AIA design awards and was published in major architectural journals.
