Elite Roofing & Construction, LLC is Michael Kosterlitz of the now-defunct "The Metal Roof Experts." In 2017, Kosterlitz, through The Metal Roof Experts quoted a $40k metal and TPO roof job for our home, demanded 50% downpayment, which was the beginning of a nightmare.
He tore our existing roof off just after hurricane Irma, and then disappeared, leaving our underlayment exposed for five months, when he finally sent his crew back to install the roof. It should be noted that the underlayment was exposed just under the amount of time the manufacturer would allow, and this is Florida on a south facing house that is brutalized by uv rays.
Kosterlitz had trouble passing the inspections - MANY times - and finally the inspector discovered that they had not vented half our roof properly. He made them install a solar vent, and after the final inspection, Kosterlitz tried to REMOVE it, saying it wasn't part of his original quote. Think about that. This man was told by a city inspector that a vent was needed (he had removed the old one), and then tried to cheat when the inspector wasn't looking.
Now, we have a leak in our TPO roof - just three years later - and Kosterlitz is refusing to fix it, citing that The Metal Roof Experts is out of business. So, the people whose license he was using - and there are TWO different companies, one which says he never had the authority to put the license on his letterhead - said that they will take care of it. That remains to be seen.
Stay away from this con artist and any company with which he's associated. He will not honor his word or his work.
