My name is Robert Dobbs, and I was born and raised in South Florida. I began my career at 17 years old, working as a general laborer. Over the years, my knowledge and skill set grew to include concrete forming and conventional framing, eventually expanding into remodeling and home additions. In 1995, I moved to Ellijay, Georgia to realize my dream of building custom homes in the mountains.
Designing and building custom homes is my passion, and I enjoy producing a finished project that is more than satisfactory; I aim to provide that “Wow!” factor. One thing my clients have complimented me on is my meticulous and methodical nature. I don't take any detail for granted. I've learned that thoroughness and preciseness are what make the difference between a "just a job" and a true, high-quality project. I also have the ability to resolve and overcome obstacles throughout the process, making adjustments as necessary that will ensure a finished success. I believe quality craftsmanship and professionalism should be the norm, rather than the exception.
The most rewarding aspect of my work is not only enjoying the process of creating something wonderful from a pile of materials, but also knowing that my clients and their families are going to enjoy it for years to come.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me in my vegetable garden, playing golf, or going for a hike with my wife and kids to take in all of Ellijay’s beautiful mountains and rivers. Fort Mountain State Park is one of our very favorite places to hike.
