Everyone knows that any construction project requires a solid foundation. Everett Whitehead & Son, Inc. has that solid foundation. Everett Whitehead started his Winter Haven, Florida construction company in 1954. He began by building homes while subsequently building his name and reputation for quality.
In 1967, Everett “Reggie” Whitehead joined the company and it became Everett Whitehead & Son. Reggie saw the wisdom in expanding the scope of the company, and began to focus on larger-scale commercial and industrial projects. Everett Whitehead retired in 1974, and Reggie began running the company. He eventually bought his father’s interest in the company and became sole owner.
Under Reggie’s leadership, Whitehead Construction continued to grow. The commercial projects got bigger and the concrete division was established in 1980. Even while expanding, the core values of quality workmanship and hands-on management remained at the forefront of Whitehead business practices. The company is now the area’s premier design-build, commercial and industrial construction company, with an outstanding reputation among customers and colleagues alike.
From the Company Headquarters in Winter Haven, Everett Whitehead and Son, Inc. has been involved in large-scale projects throughout Florida and other southern states.
Much can be said about a company’s integrity by the longevity of its workforce. Everett Whitehead & Son, Inc. has a dedicated and experienced team, and several key members have been with the company for 32 years or more. In spite of his own hard work and dedication, Reggie Whitehead credits his company’s good reputation and success to his employees.
Today, a third generation is in place and leading Everett Whitehead & Son, Inc. into the future. President, E. Ryan Whitehead has been following in his father’s footsteps since joining the company 19 years ago.
