Robert Fields started his roofing business in Houston, Texas over 20 years ago and spent 10 years in South Texas installing new residential and commercial roofs as well as repairing many roofs damaged by the areas chronic storms. In 2004 Robert loaded up 4 full crews with trucks, equipment and even a refrigerated truck full of 3 months’ worth of food and water for the entire group and head to Florida to do emergency work for a large corporate client with interests in the Sunshine state. As hurricane Ivan stirred in the Gulf of Mexico Robert and his crew hunkered down in Lake City, FL and as soon as the storm had passed, they headed west and didn’t stop until they reached Gulf Breeze where they came across a woman who hired them on the spot to re-roof her home. The long-time Gulf Breeze native also told Robert to re-roof every house on the street and if the homeowner couldn’t pay for it, she would. Over the next 18 months, Robert and his crew re-roofed hundreds of houses in Tiger Point, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola, Navarre and beyond.

Robert fell in love with the area and especially the people of Gulf Breeze and Pensacola and soon thereafter he and his wife decided to purchase a home that was damaged in the storm and fix it up to become their permanent home. Robert and his wife Tassy have been in Gulf Breeze since that time raising a family, growing the roofing company and of course fishing a lot !
