Fine Built Construction, in the tradition of many great American family businesses, began as a father and son affair. Louis Fine came to this country in 1911 and worked his way up from a common laborer to the owner of a modest but successful construction business. His son, Harry Fine grew up with a hammer in his hand, and upon his father's retirement took charge of the business that became Fine Built Construction. Harry's son, Lewis, did the same.

From the very beginning Fine Built Construction prized quality above profit, knowing without being told that one naturally followed the other. To paraphrase a popular movie, "Build it well, and they will come" was the operating principle of Fine Built from the moment we broke ground on our very first home.
