  New build

  $360,000

  I have personally bought, lived in and sold two homes built by Jay. I am now living in what my wife and I would call our forever home also built by Jay. He has stood by on doing any repairs that have been needed ( not many at all ) and has always been courteous when we have reached out to him for advice on contractors. I personally recommend him to my friends, family and co workers who are looking for new construction homes.

  Landlord

  We rented an apartment from him. We had a hole in the wall he never fixed, landscaping was never trimmed back, went 2 months in the dead of winter with no heat (we used space heaters). He wouldn't go over until I threatened escrow....amazingly fixed the next day. The place had to be thoroughly cleaned before we moved in even though it had been cleaned according to him. We replaced the screen and then deducted that from rent....pissed him off. By the time summer came....my cats...who'd never had flees, were infested with them....so bad I was getting bitten repeatedly. Moved out with no forwarding address....vacuumed apartment and dumped the contents on the floor and threw the key into the middle when we left. The definition of slumlord.

  Build home

  I built a home by contracting with Mr Folske Mr Folske built an excellent quality home. My father was a master carpenter and my brother and nephew are also in construction. Having toured many new construction houses by different contractors I chose JF Construction to custom build my new home. Coming from a construction background. I am my family members no quality when I see it. I love my new home should I consider to relocate I would definitely contract with him again I highly recommend

  He has no integrity, doesn’t do what he says. He is a hack! His homes our shit! We purchased one and had nothing but issues and he never fixed any!!

  I used to rent a duplex from this man total slum lord. Shit was always breaking and hed never fix it. Our appliances wold break down and he never did anything about it. Ended p buying our own lost a bunch of food. Pipes always freezing never fixed it. just band aids. We moved in with a bunch of broken windows he replaced it with plexi glass and silicone but only a year into the lease. I eventually ended up gutting most of the house and replacing almost everything in it just so we could have a decent place to live and never reimbursed me. He mowed the lawn like once a month and it always looked like crap. sometimes it would be his wife and kid that showed up to mow it and they would constantly complain about how lazy he was very loudly while we try to sleep early in the morning. leaky pipes leaky ceilings. constant visits from the building inspector always getting tickets for not fixing thins and not having smoke alarms. But cheap rent and he leaves you alone and lets you do what the hell you want. so ups and alot of downs i guess. fuck it i like him 5 stars

  New Build Purchase

  We entered into a deal to purchase a new construction home from Jay Folske in November, 2017. Upon signing the agreement, and conducting a walkthrough, both my wife and I, as well as Folske signed on an addendum containing no less than 46 items that needed attention. Some of these items were repainting, fixing bad patching, chips and dents in cabinetry, and numerous other items you would expect to meet your standards when buying a $320K new build. Three weeks later, Folske refused to meet the requirements of the addendum, told us "If you don't want the house, don't buy it", and proceeded to hang up on us. This was a direct violation of a signed and binding agreement, so we walked away from the deal. BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE. Do not buy a new build from this man. It's lousy craftsmanship, cheap materials, and the realtor he associates with, is horrible as well.

  Jay built our home last year and we have too many issues to count! We've already had to spend $20,000 to repair the basement and that was just the beginning. Save yourself the heartache and money, do NOT build with this man!

  Over the last 4 years we have had Jay Folske do work at our home including a new roof, the modification of a living room to create a mud room and most recently the moving of a wall and adding structural support for our kitchen remodel. He has also set us up in contact with several other specialists in work such as cabinet installing and drywall work.

  I have inspected several new homes built by jay in which lawsuits are being brought for multiple structural violations. Some of the worst, negligent work I hace ever seen
