    This is my third project with Fontana and Sons Construction, and they’ve consistently delivered excellence. Right from the start, Anthony’s organization and scheduling are spot-on, and more than that, he treats you like family—always approachable, honest, and truly invested in making sure everything goes right.

    We’ve done it all—cosmetic updates, a full rebuild, and now an exterior renovation that includes a pool, retaining wall, and deck. No matter the size or scope, they’ve made every job feel completely stress-free.

    Anthony’s guidance is honest and reliable, and he keeps the worksite extremely clean, which really sets them apart. It’s clear they take pride in what they do.

    I want to especially recognize Nick and Jesus for their professionalism and friendly approach. And Alvaro, the foreman, is truly the heart of the crew. He works incredibly hard and treats your home like it’s his own—careful, respectful, and fully committed. He kept me informed every step of the way and made the whole process feel smooth and easy.

    Major Renovation

    If you're looking for a contractor who will exceed your expectations, look no further than A. Fontana and Sons! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of outstanding.

    Anthony and his team treated my house as if they were building it for themselves, with incredible attention to detail and a commitment to quality. His foreman, Alvaro, was fantastic—always communicating clearly, reliably, and with honesty. Jesus brought immense knowledge to the project, ensuring everything was done right, and Nick proved to be a trustworthy and hardworking young man.

    Working with Anthony himself was an absolute pleasure. He is down-to-earth, honest, and reliable, always keeping his word and coming up with thoughtful solutions to any challenge that arose. In a world where contractor horror stories are all too common, I can honestly say Anthony is a gem. He made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable.

    House purchase

    Fontana and Sons built my house and Anthony was a complete pleasure to deal with thru the whole process especially during this COVID 19 situation. As Daughter of a builder my father was very impressed with all of Anthony’s work. He does not overlook anything even the small details. I got a beautiful house and gained a wonderful friend through my experience with him.

    Interior remodel. kitchen, bath, floors, attic space conversion

    When doing a home renovation project, you reach out to contractors and have them give you an estimate. Deciding is based on references, cost and putting trust in someone you don’t know. I watched Fontana & Sons build a house on my block from the ground up. A new home built with quality materials that came out beautiful. For cost, I received lower, higher and similar price estimates. Fontana’s estimate was clearly written, easy to understand and included all the items discussed on our wish list.
    Once Anthony started my major home renovation, it was all about efficiency. Demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall; it was all coming together nicely. Then the Pandemic hit, causing all construction to shut down. Fortunately for us, Anthony made sure we had heat and hot water before all work had to officially stop. This was one of moments and there were many, that my wife and I said to each other, “Thank God we hired Anthony.”
    Early on during the framing, we discovered a structural problem. Some contractors could have used this as an opportunity to make more money, but not Anthony. The additional cost was nominal. He was not making any profit off of this work and this definitely earned my trust.
    Once the pandemic work restrictions were lifted, work picked up in a well-organized manner, taping, hvac, sub flooring, tile work, moldings and doors, kitchen cabinets and painting. Anytime during the work when minor problems would arise that are not uncommon during a major renovation, Anthony was extremely responsive. Even on a holiday, a sub-contractor was on-site to make a repair. Anthony always had our best interest ahead of anything else.
    The results when all was done-- Spectacular. I love the reactions we have been getting when family and friends come to see the finished project. Anthony’s attention to detail and top-notch craftsmanship made working with him and his entire crew an absolute pleasure. We highly recommend Fontana & Sons!

    New Custom Home

    I used Anthony Fontana to build a new custom home. He has been upfront, reliable and honest. I have been around construction my whole life and found this to be a pleasurable experience. My construction friends have been impressed at the quality and speed of the build. His sub-contractors are excellent and his foreman (Alvaro) is a gem. Not only do I recommend him, I hope to use him again in the future.

    My wife and I just moved back in to our fully renovated house in Staten Island.
    Six months ago when Anthony Fontana committed to us that we would be moving in before Chrstmas, we were a little skeptical. But our Christmas wishes came true when Anthony came through as promised.
    Dealing with Anthony and his staff throughout this process has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and paid close attention to the details. I also was to acknowledge Al, his on the job foreman. He too was a pleasure to deal with on an almost daily basis.
    Everything was completed exactly as we had designed. A few things were even added here and there at our request without any additional costs.
    We were completely satisfied with A. Fontana and Sons and would recommend them to anyone embarking on a home renovation project.

    roof raise and remodel

    Fontana and Sons did a spectacular job transforming my one story Richmondtown ranch into a gorgeous side hall colonial home.
    Having your home torn down can be stressful. My husband and I did quite a bit of research before selecting a contractor we felt confident we could trust. Fontana was wonderful to work with and the job ran very smoothly. We knew we could call Anthony with any questions, ideas and even last minute changes and he would always find a way to make us happy.
    More importantly, we know that even though our job is completed, we can call Anthony today and he will be here tomorrow ready to help us out.
    Anthony Fontana is a contractor who stands by his work, before during and after the construction. My husband and I couldn't be happier.
