I bought a Perry Home in October 2020. Prior to closing, I provided Perry Homes with an inspection report which included photos and explanations of roof problems. Perry’s PM responded in writing that the repairs would occur ahead of the Closing. Days after closing, I encountered defective smoke detectors. Weeks later, I lost power repeatedly and Perry Homes blamed the issue on my appliance. It was faulty wiring. At one year, I had the rood re-inspected and I learned that the problems cited in the pre-closing inspection were never corrected/repaired. I looked through my closing records and discovered that there was no certificate of occupancy provided at closing. I called the Closing Agent that Perry Homes designated and she admitted awareness that the CO was never provided. My lender confirmed that they did not receive a CO. The City Permits Department did not send me a CO for 14 months despite my requests. Now, in December 2021, I receive a TCO dated AFTER the CO and both documents are AFTER the closing. However, state and federal law require these documents. When I sent the records that I received to Perry Homes, I asked why they were never provided at Closing as legally required. The company refuses to answer. Perry Homes installed my roof shingles, roof felt and gutters wrong. I sent the inspection and submitted a warranty request. However, Perry has not agreed to correct the improper installation.

It is sad that people building homes this expensive would be able to do it right.
We are on the middle of the process and the seller representative has been dishonest. There is an issue with them is putting extremely small doors in the bathrooms and hallway. We asked to change it and were told by the rsp, no changes can be made. I asked for contractual issues to be carried out and they refused, and then lied to our realtor about the conversation. Do not use this company

We are currently in a contract with Britton Homes and it is one if the most frustrating moments in my life. The builder ulis using unverified workers, the contracts team will not respond to questions from our Realtor, and the project manager will not provide inspection reports, which in their contract they said they would, and in fact encourage buyers to do.
Can't get much worse than it is right now, maybe

DO NOT BUILD WITH BRITTON HOMES!!! Once you sign with them they are totally unwilling to work with you if anything changes! We contracted to build with them and then I found out that I needed surgery they will lay me up for 8 - 10 months and then the rehab will carry well into after a year. When we asked to be let out of our contract we were told Britton doesn’t allow any refunds. This even when they hadn’t even broken ground.
This is totally a uncaring company that doesn’t care about you and only there bottom line!So RUN away from this company don’t walk!!!!!!!!

The whole building experience in Plano/legacy west with them was not good. They do not know how to build custom homes. The CEO should be ashamed to put her name on this project. Definitely not a million dollar home or experience.

I had this company test my backflow prevention valve for a couple of years. The valve had failed for the past two years and that is not their fault. They will come out and test, charge you for the visit even if you are a repeat customer and they will not discuss. Loyalty should be a consideration, but obviously not with this company.
