Gustavo Gubel Architect Biography:

Gustavo Gubel, One of Silverlake's most notable architects, is renowned for his emphasis on clean lines, large expanses of glass and artistic use of natural materials. By combining concrete, hardwoods and carefully chosen natural stone, Gubel creates contemporary, yet Schindler, John Lautner, and the legendary Ray Kappe, whom he studied under at the Southern California Institute of Architecture ( SCI-ARC).

Gubel was honored to have his personal residence in the American Institute of Architecture's highly prestigious Hills of Silver Lake home tour. Many of his other works have been published in leading media outlets, including commercials and feature films, both locally and abroad. A native of Argentina, Gubel has designed residential and commercial buildings throughout the United States, Argentina and Uruguay. Some of Gubel's most iconic creations are on display in Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Hills, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica Mountains and Silver Lake.
