HERNLY Associates, Inc. was founded as HERNLY Architects in 1987 with the belief that quality architecture can be achieved by listening carefully to clients and transforming their words into buildings. Since then, we have become a multi-disciplinary firm located in the heart of historic downtown Lawrence, Kansas. Our diverse employee base and open office design exhibit our belief that cooperation and interaction enhance creativity.

In May of 2000, Hernly Associates, Inc. launched our Lead-Hazard Consulting & Testing Services Division. With a strong background in Housing Authority and CDBG Development projects, HERNLY recognized the need to comply with the myriad of new lead laws and protect our children and the environment from harm.

The most recent addition to the firm, Grant Administration, allows us to vastly expand our professional service offerings. Now we can help communities and clients that may not have been able to afford beneficial architectural and environmental services in the past potentially find ways to fund their projects.

The amalgamation of these three diverse fields have come together to make HERNLY the firm of choice for architecture, environmental, and grant related services. Whether separately or combined, the services we provide can help our clients meet their goals for their projects.
