By Paul G.August 19, 2018house rehab$21,000Response from Home Services of Northern Illinois August 20, 2018Mr Gentry, your statements are false and slanderous, this is a retaliatory post by you due to you loosing your court case. I am sure you have better things to do with you time, as you know you agreed to the change orders, and the additional work and anyone who thinks a licensed and insured contractor is going to "bail" you out of your property flip for $7500 on a $40K renovation is sadly mistaken We have been insured through Farmers Insurance for 15 years, and have registered as a licensed contractor in every town that we have worked in, in addition we are fully able and capable of being bonded as we submit bonds to the villages all the time. In conclusion, I suggest you remove these false statements before additional legal action is taken against you.

CNI Fence/Northern Illinois Fence out of Cortland, IL:
Our experience with this company has been AWFUL. After pre-paying the balance in full, they have left our fence unfinished, mismatched, scratched, and uneven. The company did not supply the crew with all the correct materials or sizes needed for our custom job. As a result, our fence is "pieced" together and still unfinished. My husband even had to re-dig some of the post holes (while the crew sat in the truck) because the subcontractor boss told the young men working on our fence to NOT correct the post holes (they dug the post holes too shallow). So my husband had to do it. Although the young man (subcontractor) did his absolute best to finish our fence later on and really tried to help us out, it comes down to the fact that Northern Illinois Fence did not provide us with a quality product or service. They certainly wanted our "custom" job but didn't seem to have the "know-how" when it came time to install it - and we were very specific as to what the end product was supposed to look like. Even when my husband talked to the owner (?) Kevin, he made it clear to us that he wasn't making anything off the job - does that mean he doesn't care about the quality of the work and satisfying his customers? It sure seems like that. As a result, our fence is now unfinished. WE will have to install one of the posts and gates on our own as well as spray paint one of the panels (they didn't have the correct finish in the warehouse so brought a panel with a mat finish for us to use instead). Even now, the fence is not secured to the stone pillar (we will do that) and there are panel areas and posts that are not stable and are also uneven - it's endless. We will need to install a lot of bushes and tall grasses to hide our expensive experience with this fence company.

As bad as it gets. In fact, it's a million times worse than that. Adam and his dad, and everyone in his entire family are nothing but pure unadulterated frauds. They have been scamming people and ripping people off for 15 years. The work that they do is beyond pathetic. They don't get permits, they are not insured, they are not licensed, they are not bonded.... they are simply horrible "contractors" and even worse human beings. Stay away from Adam Fiala and Ray Fiala at all costs.
