Extensive travels throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America have molded Cathi and Steven into architects with poetic insight into the use of light and shadow, movement and pause, place and embrace. Cathi and Steven have lectured extensively throughout the United States and Mexico and have both served on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech. They have established CASA, The Center for Architecture, Sustainability + Art, an architecture study abroad program based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
