    Build our home
    $253,000

My experience with Affnity owners Larry & Racheal to where we are today.
I signed my contract in September of 2021 with lots of high hopes and promises. I was told without a doubt we would break ground come January 2022 seeing that we closed on our loan in December 2021. Well January came, then went February, then went March, then went April finally May comes. In-between January to May was every excuse imaginable. However owners Larry & Racheal requested to meet with my husband and I. During this meeting we were told we either have to come up with $50k or we can just walk away. To be clear this 50k could not be added to our loan as we would lose our AMAZING interest rate that no longer existed therefore we'd have to come up with cash funds. After that meeting we had not spoken of the amount again. I attempted to set up meetings to show them that no where in our contract allows for this. This seemed to be an attempt to extort at the time a 22 & 24 year old. June comes and we finally got submitted to permitting. July comes and we get our permits. As you can imagine I'm dying to know when work will ACTUALLY begin as Larry & Racheal have claimed prices are going up due to time because when Larry originally priced our home in September 2021 they weren't as high. We got dirt in August. Then came the 1 year mark and a hurricane hit. After the hurricane instead of packing my dirt back in and to the height it was originally they began to add plumbing and footers to a pile of dirt that had been rained on for 10+ hours. Meanwhile we've waited almost a year to get started, why do things wrong now right? So I had to complain and make it clear that if my home ends up with a lift station of some sort due to this dirt issue we will have to restart the entire project as that's not called out on my contract. Meanwhile there was some tension because footers and preplumbing were already in. However, they remedied that situation after my very clear email. Now things seem to be better after this terrible hurricane we all suffered, we are getting our foundation poured in November and by December we are getting block up. Until I start asking when my trusses are due to be delivered and begin getting a run around from Racheal. After over 4 weeks of trying to find out why they are not getting put into production as I've paid every draw within 48 hours of receiving them. I am told by my superintendent (the person responsible for my job) they will be delivered AT THE LATEST January 25th. After I followed up on January 18th to make sure we are still on track I recieved an email from Racheal stating "someone will have to check on the progress and get back to you". So January 23rd comes and I havent heard anything yet. I followed up and do not get a response. Leading me to be concerned that the promised date of January 25th wont be met. Well January 25th comes.... instead of getting my trusses I GOT A CERTIFIED LETTER FROM AN ATTORNEY STATING I OWED AFFINITY 55K FOR UPGRADES. My superintendent was instructed he could no longer speak with me due to attorneys being involved. So NOW I have to find an attorney AND pay her to fight for what they agreed to on a written contract that Larry signed. Meanwhile these so called "upgrades" were ALL guaranteed within my price and called out for in my contract. Here we are it's April 2023 and after trying to find some sort of common ground they have just ABANDONED my project that THEY agreed to. Now they are terminated from my job by their default. We will be owner building our house. It will be done correctly and not tainted by a company that seems to be built upon fake promises, no accountability and arrogance. Arrogance to think they're going to get away with what they've done to my husband and I. God ALWAYS makes things fair so it might not be felt in this lifetime but I know God will always take care of things. Because God knows that Larry and Racheal know exactly what they are doing. He knows that they are trying to steal from my husband and I. So my review? I AM TELLING YOU TO RUN FROM THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT GET DRAGGED INTO THEIR MANIPULATION.

    New roof over i

The reason I have All Weather Roofing a rating of 1 was because I feel they are taking advantage of people who had some damage to their roof due to hurricane Ian.
We had a roof put n December of 2022. Although the roof held up pretty well due to the hurricane and flying debris we have a few small holes that penetrated through the membrane. I called to have them come and give an estimate of what the repairs would cost and they charge $250.00 just to come out to give an estimate. First of all since I am was a customer of theirs I would think they would do the estimate at no cost to maintain customer satisfaction. Secondly the price of $250.00 for an estimate I feel is price gouging. So basically what they are telling me is once they get your business and you need them in the future they don’t care about you as a customer. Because of this I would not recommend this company.

We have used Pinch-A-Penny Pool, but they cannot service commercial pools like ours. They provide a free testing service and we have used them to monitor companies we have used to service our pool. We have been very pleased with this service and the advice they offer. They are a little expensive, but often you get what you pay for.

Our home was damaged by Hurricane Michael and our insurance company referred us to ABBA. At first, everything went fairly well but as we got near the end we went through four project managers, multiple paint crews that took 6 months to do, got ripped off for over $15,000 by one of their subcontractors locally, and then they threatened us with court action to get final payment even though we had not received the final payment yet. They also charged us for work they didn't do and would not even discuss the issue. I would not recommend them.

Fix my house after extensive water damage. God when did I hire them December 15th in Canton Ohio oh

Abba construction did a wonderful job on restoring my home after water damage. They understood that the flooring had to be redone all throughout my house. they worked with me on the colors I wanted to paint. The workers worked hard when they were here which was every day through the week. They would sometimes work until 7 at night. I could not have been happier with the job they had done.

    $5,700

My home was severely damaged from hurricane Michael. My insurance company gave me ABBA construction as the company that would tarp my roof. I explained that there were several groups that would do it but I was told I had to use the insurance company. Wasn't there when the work was done but was told by four different neighbors that the workers were very unprofessional, cursing, and goofing around. The tarp they put on didn't last a week and my insurance was billed $5,700, which comes out of my claim. I called ABBA and complained and they were receptive at first, but since December have not returned any of my calls. My advise to anyone using ABBA Construction is don't believe their ad's about supporting Vet's. They're no different than any other contractor, tell you what you want to hear, and take the money and run. In other words, they're not above kicking you when you're down.
