In 1977, after having graduated with a degree in Architecture from Cal Poly and working through college with some of the best contractors in the area, Jerry Williams started J.W. Design & Construction with a focus on creating the best design-build firm of custom homes in San Luis Obispo. In the mid-80s the firm started to expand that vision into commercial office buildings, retail, and agricultural coolers and by the early-90’s, our expertise had grown to include large retail outlets and wineries throughout the County.

As the growth of the 1990s and early 2000s brought more projects to the area, we were able to offer our services to an increasing range of buildings and facilities. Today we have built and completed more projects with a larger variety of uses and materials than any other builder on the Central Coast.
