Jacobson / Klein, Inc. is Dedicated to Designing and Building Fine Custom Homes in South King County.

We are a local, family-owned and operated business that started in 1995 with the merger of Jacobson Builders, Inc. and the Daris Company.

Ron Jacobson has been a general contractor for over 30 years. He and his wife, Phyllis, started their business by building their first (and recently remodeled) home. He is known for his construction expertise, knowledge of land issues, skillful navigation of bureaucratic mazes, and incredible good humor (mostly).

Dale Kleinknecht owned a successful sales, marketing, and financial services business before joining Ron in forming Jacobson / Klein. She and her husband, Dick, had designed and built two custom homes (and had a third project fall through) before working together with Ron on their current home. Jacobson / Klein was incorporated the same week the house was finished. Dale's skills in business and client service give her the expertise to design and manage the project to get your best value. Dale is also known for her enthusiasm and her great homemade bread.

Pat Hanson, our "lady in red," and her husband, Jim, first came to Jacobson / Klein as clients. They hired us to build their "forever" home -- an easily accessible rambler with a great room. Because of Pat's interior design talent their home turned out to be especially beautiful, so when it was finished, we hired her. In addition to her artistry, she excels at keeping track of all the minute details of each job.

Hans Kleinknecht (Dale's nephew) and Jeff (Pat's son) complete our construction family. They provide the everyday, on site supervision and labor necessary to keep your project running smoothly. Hans recently built his own home, and Jeff remodeled (actually, he gutted and completely rebuilt) a little fixer-upper for himself.

All of us at Jacobson / Klein have a wealth of firsthand experience. We know how it feels to build your own home, and we are here to share that sense of accomplishment with you and your family.
