TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! First, his price was high according to what all my handyman friends tOLD me. The worse part is that he STOLE my $15,000 leaving me without a home and owing the bank $15,000. I gave him $15,000 as a down towards the project but then told him to wait until I could secure more money because his final quote for the job was $35,0000 more than his original quote for the job. Like an idiot I gave him $15,000 as a down and told him to hold off on starting until after I secure the extra $35,000. After I couldn't secure the funds he told me he would return my down payment but he hasn't. He's refused He wanted to keep half of it. When I told him no, he just went ahead and walked away with ALL of it. I'm a single mom trying to just move a mobile home to a small piece of land someone was letting me owner finance. I'm not some rich investor. I'm a single mom scraping by. And he took my money! He took advantage of me
If you use him, don't pay until AFTER he does the work. Because, if you have to back out of the project HE WON'T RETURN YOUR MONEY. He'll take advantage of you. I spoke with two lawyers. They both told me I would win in court. The problem is that that also both days I would be spending thousands more in court and legal costs to get the guilty verdict AND THEN I still would have to go after him to force him to over the court order. One said It's probably have to spend 10,000 to get my money back and I could request he pay but it doesn't mean the judge will make him pay. Every month I make that loan payment on the money he took from me and it makes me sick. I don't know how he can sleep at night
