I think it’s important for you to know a little about me, Jim Derleth, where I was brought up, what I’ve been doing, and further explain what I hope to accomplish.
I’m originally from Rochester, New York where I graduated from high school, and then went on to a technical school to complete my education. During this time I was painting and doing repair jobs with my father. After graduation from trade school, I came to California for an apprenticeship under my uncle who is a general contractor in the Los Angeles area. I immediately knew this was for me.
After working for him and other contractors for about 4 years, in 1981 I decided to venture out on my own, at which time I started “Jim Derleth, General Contractor”. As you can see, I’ve been involved with this industry for over 30 years now.
Repairs are my forte, but I am well versed in all aspects of construction and remodeling. I like working with my hands, and derive great inner satisfaction in seeing a job well done and a truly pleased customer. In addition, I have surrounded myself with a team of hard-working, dedicated sub contractors with experience in the construction field.
I believe that honesty and integrity are the basics for any business to succeed. These principals are an integral part of my business. I also believe that there is an honest need in the industry for good service and skilled craftsmen in the repair and remodel business.
I look forward to a mutually beneficial working relationship with you.
