I would not recommend this man to anyone. I think he is at the end of his career. I had talked to a couple of folks who have built with him prior to us selecting him a our builder. He was very detached from the project, always wanted to talk by email - which is fine when you are confirming changes. He had a hard time keeping up with his subs and getting them to show up to work. The reason for this is he only has ONE of everything that he counts on - 1 plumber, 1 framer, 1 electrician, etc. So when these guys are taking on more work of their own, they put John off. There were several instances that we had to wait 4-6 on our project to get one of them to show up to do their part so that the project can continue forward. Another thing with John was he did not bid our job accurately. During the process, we discover that he just took numbers from prior jobs from 2-3 years ago for our bid. This cost our project to be way under budget. His response was a shoulder shrug and that this is your house you are building so YOU have to pay for the rise in cost from 2-3 years ago. These are just some of the things that I hope would keep you away from him. I have more to share if you want to know.

I agree 100% with the previous review. He was under budget on many things, which depleted our savings account, which we are still trying to build up to this day (we have been in our home almost 3 years). It has been a hardship on us. If he had been more accurate we would have just asked the bank for more upfront. He has a very "no big deal" attitude about it.
He was VERY hands off during our build as well. Our build took 9 months, but only because we were out on the build site multiple times a day. He has also NEVER been back since the day we closed on our home to fix a single thing despite our patience, kindness, and understanding.
He is a nice man and I liked him as a person, but as a home builder we were very disappointed. It is a shame, because we have had 4-5
Friends build homes since and we haven't been able to recommend him.
