JOMA Construction is owned and operated by John Newland, along with a dedicated team of highly-skilled project managers, carpenters, and support staff. John and his wife Marielle (JOMA = John + Marielle) moved to Athens in 2001 and officially started the business in 2005, after 3 years of hands-on learning. Since then, we have had the opportunity to work on over 900 residential and commercial projects, ranging from bathroom renovations to design-build new construction.
JOMA’s stellar reputation, including recognition from local and national organizations, stems from an abundance of experience in the process and procedures of building projects, as well as a passion for quality workmanship and customer service. Our motto at JOMA is: “building eudaimonia.” Eudaimonia, defined by “a contented state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous; the highest human good” is what motivates us here at JOMA Construction, not just for our own “human good,” but for yours as well. Building a new home, remodeling your business, or repairing the space you enjoy is an exciting and important endeavor, and the team at JOMA Construction aspires to make it as smooth and enjoyable a process as possible.
