Koppers does not even deserve one star - they deserve negative stars. Whatever you do, DO NOT HIRE THEM. I am in a nightmare thanks to them. In 2017, I hired them to repair the foundation at my home and to do any and all waterproofing work necessary to prevent water that flows down the hill in my backyard from hitting the foundation of the home and causing additional foundation issues, mold, etc. I'm now trying to sell my home, and every single home inspector has found that the work that they did (underpins) was completely inadequate, and although Koppers informed me that their work included regrading the backyard to ensure that water was directed away from the house, they evidently did not do ANY of this. So for the last four years, I thought that all of this water wasn't hitting the home, when it actually was, and this has caused significant differential settlement and lateral displacement due to the effects of moisture on the soil and hydrostatic pressure. As a result, the exterior foundation wall is bowing and the ceilings, walls, etc. are all cracked and coming apart. They also provided a LIFETIME GUARANTEE for their work, and are now ignoring my real estate and agent I when we try to contact them about these issues.
Their work is not only completely inadequate, but they don't know what they are doing. They should have, at a minimum, put in a sump pump or French drain, and instead their work has led to significant damage to my property, which is estimated to cost ~$20,000 or more to fix. I now have to take the initiative in suing them. RUN AWAY... hire people who know they're doing and aren't crooks.
