Having been involved in the construction and real estate industries for years, he started his firm with a simple, powerful idea: seek out quality development and construction projects that benefit people, build stronger neighborhoods and create positive impact on the greater community.

In 2001, he took that idea one giant step farther with the founding of Marian Development Group, a real estate firm specializing in multifamily and affordable housing development, and embracing those initial, core values—People, Neighborhoods, Communities. Since then, the company has grown from its initial construction and affordable housing specialties into a diversified, full-service real estate firm with over $200 million in accomplished and underway projects. Additional affiliates under the Marian umbrella include Blacksmith Iron Works, founded in 2006, Solstice Property Management, founded in 2013, and Marian Realty in 2014.

In 2015, the companies were formally brought together to include all of its offerings under a single banner as The Marian Group. While the organization has grown and expanded far beyond its initial scope, its success still rests on the simple tenets at the heart of each project undertaken — People, Neighborhoods, Communities.
