Our company was founded by Jay Loken, a third-generation craftsman whose construction career spanned over fifty years. He moved from Montana to Seattle in 1989 and began Loken Construction in 1992 out of the basement of his Ballard home.

Jay navigated the company through twenty-nine years of success working on projects throughout the Seattle area. Upon his retirement in 2021, his sons Carsten and Garth Loken, together with longtime employee Nate Cunningham, took over as co-owners of the company. Their experience working within the company under Jay’s guidance has led to renewed growth and expansion for Loken Construction.
