Lowe Bo Homes
I was born and raised in New Mexico and I guess you could say building is in my blood. My first job was working for my dad, John E. Lowe, a local custom builder. He taught me the value of hard work and that nothing is free. He was successful and, by example, taught me how to be successful. I think maybe one of the best lessons I learned from him was to do what you say you will do. That is how you take care of your customers and your employees. It is how to be a builder with integrity. My dad learned this from his dad who was a brick mason from England. My grandfather immigrated to the States and settled in Idaho to earn his living making bricks and building homes, structures, and bridges… many of which are still around today.
Therefore, even as a teenager, I was not afraid to get dirty and ended up cleaning many homes for my dad. It was no surprise that my next step in life was to attend the University of New Mexico where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1989. After graduating from UNM, in lieu of pursuing a career in engineering, I elected to work for a national homebuilder who constructed custom and semi-custom homes in New Mexico.
During my 20 years with National Builder Homes, I managed, built and inspected well over 1,000 homes; created a 376-unit, lifestyle-centered active adult community; established a new market for my employer in Santa Fe where we became the number one homebuilder; and finally was in charge of developing over 1,000 lots and over 40 million dollars in budgets. Along the way, I learned pricing techniques that not only enabled me to identify quality products and the best local trades, but also allowed me to negotiate fair prices that ensured success for both my employer and the trades. Eventually, my team and I put processes in place which were copied throughout the company on a national level. I take pride that throughout these 20 years, I earned some of the highest customer satisfaction ratings for my client interactions, and the teams I led were some of the highest ranked in the company. I believe this all happened because I learned early on that good communication is paramount in this business.
In 2009 I decided to start LOWE-BO Homes because I really enjoy custom home building. Our motto is “Value and quality through generations of experience.” I take pride in my heritage, my company and the homes we build... and I think it shows. Why? Not only are all my clients happy, but I also have won some local awards. Just check out some of our projects to see for yourself.
It probably sounds like all I do is build homes, but I am also a family man who enjoys the outdoors. I have a great wife and two wonderful kids. I really enjoy watching my kids grow up and cheering them on when they play sports. When I am not doing that, I enjoy skiing, biking, tennis, hiking and fishing with friends and family. Basically, my family keeps me grounded and focused.
Now that you know a little about me, let’s meet and discuss the possibility of working together to build your dream home. It will cost you nothing but your time. You will see that I have the experience plus the trade base to take care of your needs for any design build scenario. In addition to that, I will constantly strive to meet or exceed your expectations before, during, and after the building process via face-to-face meetings, emails, walk-throughs, phone calls, and post-occupancy visits. I believe communication paramount. I only ask that you give me the chance to earn your business and show you how to make your homebuilding journey a success.
Rest assured that if you choose me as your builder, you will be working with someone who is knowledgeable about all aspects of homebuilding. You will also be working with a couple of key folks on my team: Daniel Morales, my foreman, and Dolores Josephson, my Office Manager. We do our best to supervise your projects and stay organized.
Trust me and my team to make sure your home building dreams are realized.
Thank you,
Ted Lowe
