Jason MacMurray began working in the construction industry with his father, Bob MacMurray, when he was thirteen years old. He signed on as summer help with the Hawaii Carpenters Union Local 745 in 1986. After years of experience and education, Jason became a Journeyman with the Hawaii's Carpenter Union Local 745. Jason began working for his father who started MacMurray Construction, INC. in 1990. Today, MacMurray Construction, Inc. remains a subcontractor for JDH Construction for Gentry Homes.
In 2004, Jason saw the need for granite counter tops at Gentry Homes. He incorporated Island Stone Imports. He started by importing granite from China. Jason opened his own fabrication shop in Waipahu and started fabricating and installing granite in Gentry Homes starting with Woodbridge, Haleakea, and Cypress Point. Along with Gentry, Jason has completed numerous custom granite projects. Jason continues today fabricate and install custom granite projects.
During 2008 and 2009, Jason's goal was focusing on obtaining his General Contractor's License which was long overdue. His goal was achieved September 2009. He is now a licensed and insured general contractor.
Jason, together with his wife Stacia and their two boys Clive and Maddox, resides in Pupukea on the North Shore of Oahu. With over 28 years in the construction industry, Jason is ready for any challenge.
Rick Weinheimer has joined the company. He brings many years of experience and knowledge within the construction industry.
