Signed the contract with Maronda in May 2021 . As of today house is not even 30% complete , we were told house will be completed in May 2022 and now in August 2022 . All lies and deception. They took $11000 in deposit and won’t return back . Customers are stuck renting month to month paying exorbitant rents . No Communication and the customer service sucks .

Same as the others stated, terrible builders, nothing done on time. They are not behind a couple of days or weeks but months. They always have excuses and lies.

By Monica S.September 24, 2021Build a home$352,000
Me and my husband signed our contract with Maronda homes in August of 2020. We are still only 30% complete. Our estimated completion date was late Aug 2021. We are now being told 11/30 but not guaranteed I’ve had several friends/ family build way after me with other companies and are completed and moved in. All we get is excuses about inspections ect from the site Supervisor . I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. This company took away the excitement of our first build.

By Angela A.July 27, 2021Built a house$415,000
My husband and I signed a contract last August 2020. We were told the house would be done in 6 months. Needless to say it basically August again and the house is not even half way finished. We drive by there no one is working on any of the houses. Their communication sucks. We have been told lie after lie. We are basically stuck because of how the prices for houses have increased. We have no choice but to wait. I’m praying we’re in this house by next year. I would not recommend Maronda Homes to anyone.

By Jenny J.April 17, 2020Home build$308,000
Our quality of work issues were being addressed satisfactorily by their superintendent until they decided that due to the pandemic we could not have a walk through before closing and needed to buy the house sight unseen. We have been locked out of the house because we complained about poor quality of work. We provided many pictures documenting the items that need to be corrected before closing since there will be NO punch list due to "COVID". We are due to close in 2 weeks . The only response I have gotten was from a lower level employee who did not answer any of our questions and was very upset that we dared to demand a walk through. She does not represent the company well. I do not recommend Maronda because it appears that they are not going to stand by their work. We are very disappointed that we started this process at all.

I own a Maronda home built in Lehman Estates in Canal Winchester, OH. The overall quality of the build is questionable. The furnace is too small for the square footage of our home, several walls are not plumb, kitchen cabinets are not hung well, the list goes on. I would not recommend Maronda to anyone.

Signed on November 21, 2021 for a $540,000 home. Told 1 year maximum to build due to Covid delays...
They were supposed to break ground in 3-4 months, I have photos that indicate that was a lie. They didn’t break ground until May 13, 2022.
The MyMaronda website is not updated.
My husband texted our new “manager,” Tim, on Aug 30th asking when drywall would start (after there was no communication about the estimated meeting pre-dry wall meeting date of Aug 29, 2022). Tim opted to not respond, instead sending an email yesterday (September 3rd) stating simply that drywall could begin soon. Keywords “could” and “soon” are only a couple of the misleading ways that this company will use to lure you in.
We just spoke with another buyer (Lee P.) who has been waiting well over 1.5 years for his home to be completed. They’ve already swapped out their appliances for GE (instead of Samsung which they do readily promote). This poor guy and his wife have been paying $2200 for rent being told 1 month, 1 month, 2 months, ALL misleading lies. Not to mention that they sold their home down south and continue to pay extended storage fees waiting for Maronda to finish building their home. Lee took us on a route of what has been done so far and the quality is SUBPAR. From crooked drawers to ragged drywall, railings not properly secured, paint dried-dripping from the edge of an entry to the bathroom, and that’s not even half of the problems that he pointed out.
After speaking with this buyer and a few other disappointed buyers, we are no longer excited about building with a company that is so full of lies. We can only hope that our home will be complete by November 21, 2022.
